New Delhi: An interactive doodle involving a flying saucer and an alien commemorates the 66th anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident's reporting on the Google home page on July 8, 2013.

The incident referred to as the Roswell UFO incident, occurred on July 7, 1947 near Roswell in New Mexico, USA, and reports about the incident appeared the following day.

An airborne object crashed on a ranch and there have been many theories revolving around it, the most popular being that the flying object was a spacecraft with aliens aboard, though the United States Armed Forces maintain that it was an experimental high-altitude surveillance balloon.

'RAAF captures flying saucer on ranch in Roswell region,' it read. RAAF stands for Roswell Army Air Field.

The Roswell UFO incident Google doodle is on Google's home pages for many countries, but not on Google's India home page.
